This new discovery has been authenticated by Phil Skinner, the foremost recognized Edsel expert. Please see his letter on the history of this 1960 Edsel Convertible. This beautiful Edsel has just had a complete ground up restoration. Over $40,000.00 was spent, and no cost spared, by this very particular and wealthy business man. Everything has been redone or replaced with new or reproduction parts, which includes the monster E-475 engine, 345 horsepower and 475 foot pounds of torque, and transmission. I sold this car about 6 years ago as a number 3- condition running Edsel, with 48,000, no rust, original miles, loaded with many rare options, most of which worked, including: Power Windows, Power Seat, Power Antenna, Town and Country Radio, Power Front End Lubrication System (all there but never checked out as to its working capabilities,) and of course the unique Teletouch push button transmission control system, which is in perfect working order. Very rare promotional Junior Edsel given by a few Edsel dealers who gave each person who tried out an Edsel a ticket with a chance to win the Youngstar Edsel in a drawing. It has a top speed of 5 miles per hour. I have been told that only five exist, I only know of two. I believe that this is in the best condition. The last one to be purchased, was several years ago, it was all apart, and reportedly it was sold for $7,000.00 and needing complete restoration. Serious Collectors buy this Youngstar now at this fixed price---- or take your chance at the up coming auction in which it should sell for more money! This is a show car!...$12,500.00
